Richard has gone through the process to demote it from the environment. Some remaining problems:
1- Some items are still showing up from the old exchange server (in System Manager and AD) ... will keep an eye on this.
2- For a while after turning off the server, outside email was no longer being delivered to the inside. The problem was in the domain settings in the Barracuda which was still pointing to 10.40.55.42 . Changed that to 10.40.55.22, and email flow started again.
3- Steve Bibler had to turn on the server again, as he realized that all the Xerox copiers still had the old email server's smtp IP address. As soon as he changed the IPs to the new one, he turned the server back off.
- The initial change was performed at around 10:00 am on 03/06/2009
- Received the call from Mike around 11:00, and fixed it by 11:10am.
- Steve turned the server back on briefly around 2:00pm, and fixed the Xerox servers, and turned it back off around 2:45pm.
