Yesterday we had an issue with the LANDesk SoftMon.exe server crashing on many machines. After lots of research, I found out that there is a patch that we can apply to the server, and to the clients that would resolve this issue.
I went ahead and created a package that contains this fix to push to all the clients. I have created an AutoFix rule to be applied whenever vulnerable clients have been found, and I have also created a scheduled task that can be manually triggered that would allow the technician or the helpdesk to push the update to the workstation immediately.
The scheduled task can be found under Common Tasks/Patches and Repairs.
Note: This patch will require a reboot for it to take effect
