I have gone ahead and migrated the user data from briggs-easy to 431-dc1. The only different is that the user data is not in \\431-dc1\user$\Staff\%UserName%
Group data is in : \\431-dc1\group$\Office
If people still have the old drives mapped on their computer, they will get an error when trying to connect to that share, as I have gone ahead and unshared it. rerunning their login script should rectify this problem: \\do-dc2\netlogon\brglogon.bat
Also, DHCP is now running on 431-dc1.
I have demoted briggs-easy from being a domain controller.
Printers are currently still being served from briggs-easy, as I’m giving Steve Bibler some additional time to rename the current queues on 431-dc1 to match the naming convention we agreed on in our meeting.
If users have issues connecting to the new server, please have them restart their machine, or try release and renew their DHCP address, and flush and reregister their DNS. This can be done by copying and pasting the following command:
ipconfig /release && ipconfig /renew && ipconfig /flushdns && ipconfig /registerdns
For any additional problems, please let me know, and I’ll take a look.
