This afternoon I completed importing every (currently) active student in Aeries to Active Directory.
All accounts have had their passwords updated to match their new grade level, as well as matching the new password format for the new grade 3 through 6.
Since I got a few requests already. I just wanted to clarify the current password formats for the students:
K – 2 –> abc
3 – 6 –> [firstinitial][lastinitial][last 3 of PermID]
7 – 12 –> [CAPITALfirstinitial][lowercaselastinitial][last 5 of PermID].
the 7 – 12 format will be padded by “zeros” if the PermID is less than 5 digits long. i.e: John Doe with permID 385 will have a password: Jd00385
For those who create rosters for teachers and site secretaries, you can go ahead and do that, as the data is now accurate (excluding any drops and adds for students on a nightly basis). For the latest data, always use the User Maintenance UMRA Form.
SchoolFusion is also up to date with all the information.
Any data found in accurate in UMRA, or Active Directory from this point forward will mean that there may be something wrong with the student account. In those cases, please bring them to my attention, and I’ll fix them.
For any questions, please talk to me.
