Over the past week, I have created the first version of the new login script that we'll be using across the district (CVUSD) domain; and over the weekend, I have enabled all your accounts to use the new script. Some of you may see some missing drives, and some may see additional ones.
Please check your mapped drives to make sure that everything is there. There is documentation on the login script which I'm working on, but the following tip will help you customize your script if what is currently mapping doesn't really work for your needs:
If you create a file in your i: drive called:.bat (where username is your actual network logon username, and in that, create any mappings you want, the main script will run first, and then will run your own script afterwards, mapping any additional drives, or removing any drives that you don't really care to have.
I currently have debug logs being shipped to a central location, so I will be able to see what did and didn't map on your computer.
I welcome any feedback that you may have during this pilot, as I am working on getting the script ready for production in the very near near future. (hopefully, by the time we have KACE and Nod32 in place), as it will have hooks to push installers for these agents fairly easily.
