Today, and after tons of misguided information from GeoTrust, I finally managed to straighten out the renewal of our expiring SSL certificate on Exchange (which was due to expire on the 24th).

(A CSR for a cert renewal usually maintains the same encryption level as the original certificate). This made the process a bit different.
In any case, the certificate is now valid until 03/06/2015, and is applied to:

In any case, the certificate is now valid until 03/06/2015, and is applied to:
- Default website on IIS 6 on POSTAL
- Default SMTP Virtual Server (in Exchange System Manager Protocols)
- Secure Relay Virtual Server (in Exchange System Manager Protocols)
- Default IMAP Virtual Server (In Exchange System Manager Protocols)
Nothing should change in user experience, this merely helps in not having Exchange downtime when the old certificate expires.
- The new certificate was installed on 01/04/2012 at 2:30pm
