As demonstrated on Friday, the system status page is now live at http://systemstatus.chino.k12.ca.us
Since the demonstration, I have added email / sms notification functionality. Anyone can subscribe to that, to receive updates as soon as something new is posted. Please feel free to check this out.
All of you should have a login to the site, to be able to update a status. It is fairly straight forward to create a new status. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
I hope that we will be able to start using this on a regular basis, so that the users start getting used to checking it out to find out on system and service issues that may affect them, thereby reducing some calls on the helpdesk.
Also, those responsible for the main district website, would it be possible to place a link on the main page, that would be accessible to anyone? At this point, this page isn't open to the outside world, but if need be, we can do that.
