Today I went ahead and moved the services from DDSN-EASY to 309-DC1.
Here’s what was done:
- Changed the login script ddsn-logon.bat to point to 309-dc1 instead of ddsn-easy
- Shared all the appropriate folders (Group$ and User$), and set the appropriate NTFS permissions.
- Installed DNS and DHCP service
- Setup DNS for a Read/Write AD Integrated primary zone
- Installed DHCP Server and imported the settings from ddsn-easy with the following command:
- Changed the primary DNS pointer to 10.40.175.3 (309-DC1), and kept the pointer to 10.40.175.1 active (for now)
- Deauthorized the DHCP server on DDSN-EASY, and disabled the DHCP Server Service.
- Authorized the DHCP server on 309-DC1.
- Placed the updated PrintMigConfig.ini in the NETLOGON directory. This will allow the users logging in to get their printers replaced with the new ones on the next logon.
- This change was made on 03/26/2009 @ 12:00pm
- Target: ddsn-easy and 309-dc1
netsh dhcp server import D:\dhcpdatabase.txt all
