Over the weekend, I migrated wjh-easy to 205-dc1.
- Printers are now running from 205-dc1. The login scripts have been updated. The old server is left turned on, for users who don’t get a successful migration, until one of our guys makes sure we’re all good with all the users on the site.
- Files have been migrated, and I split the teachers and staff into their corresponding folders: \\205-dc1\user$\staff, and \\205-dc1\user$\teachers. For this one, I had to create a new login script for the teachers, as that did not exist before, the script is called 205-teachers.bat in \netlogon">\\<cvusd-dc>\netlogon.
Office-shared is now called office
WJH-Shared still exists on the old server, but I have not mapped it on the new one as it didn’t look like it was being used
Site-Shared also hasn’t been re-published, as it didn’t look like it was being used either.
- DHCP database has been migrated over and is not active on 205-dc1. wjh-easy has been de-authorized from being a DHCP server.
- The IP for 205-dc1 has been left unchanged, as we need to make sure to coordinate this with the library software pointers on the workstations.
- wjh-easy has been demoted from being a domain controllers. Steve Bibler needs to notify me whenever we are ready to power off that server, and decommission it.
The server spreadsheet has been updated to reflect these changes.
