Walnut 306-vmhost1 motherboard being replaced

I have spent some more time on the phone with Dell regarding the 306-vmhost1 errors, and found out that the issue is with the motherboard  after all. The good news is that the drive that we had lost has been recovered and reconnected to 308-dc1.

However, we’re still getting errors with DIMM5 missing upon boot up, and VMWare is only seeing 24Gb of RAM.

A technician will be dispatched tomorrow. I requested that they would come after 4:00pm as to not to inconvenience the site too much yet again. (this is only a request, so it may not happen, but that was the best I could do).

David Couch will be the contact person to meet the Dell technician at Walnut upon him calling.

Helpdesk, please arrange with Walnut, to inform them of this – hopefully – final downtime of their server. The expected downtime shouldn’t be longer than 15 minutes.
