LANDesk Rollup update applied

I have applied a rollup update to the LANDesk core server.  This will not affect users directly, but does affect the agent version that is deployed. a patch to all the clients needs to be installed on all the workstations. It’s very important that we have all hands go out and touch every machine… Just kidding. I will be pushing the patch via a policy push to all the existing agents.

The rollup update also has an update for the Mac agent which should make Remote Control more reliable, and over all more stable. Also, the new Mac agent will now support Mac OS 10.6.x (Snow Leopard)

This post is mostly an FYI, and no action is required on your end. Another 2 patches will be applied soon as well to deal with the tmcvc.exe issue, which is in the final stages of testing. The other is related to the status of the nodes on the LANDesk console which sometimes report as being offline, when they are, in fact, online. LANDesk is aware of this issue, and are working to resolve it. the ETR for this particular patch is sometime towards the end of March. Since one is not urgent, I won’t push too hard for it.

I still have not had a chance to create a self extracting package or Advance agents to place them on the setup page, but the Scheduled Tasks for the agent push should be ready to go. I will have the others shortly.
