Screwdrivers server is now upgraded to version 4 on the following Citrix servers: cvusd-citrix2, 3, 5, 6 and 7. Citrix 1 and 4 are still offline. I’m currently experimenting with leveraging those servers with VMware view if I can.
At the time of writing this update, the ScrewDrivers software had not yet been activated, and therefore, the users will get the same trial pop up as in v3, upon logging in to Citrix, to which they can click “Close” after 10 seconds time out. I expect this trial issue to be resolved as soon as I get the new activation codes from Tricerat sometime tomorrow morning.
Please let me know if the users are seeing any issues with printing. I’ll be monitoring the servers to see if upgrading ScrewDrivers will have resolved the CPU spikes caused by spoolsv.
As a side note. I’m working on the final details on a first draft of a linked clone View workstation with the Aeries software, that I’d like to test out on about 10 users. This would still be a draft, but functional version. This means that it won’t be quite locked down, and non of the login (menus) and logout (cleanup) scripts are setup yet. I will contact those of you who would be involved in this pilot individually. Please standby for additional info.
