Last night, I have performed a firmware upgrade on the two Storage Center Controllers (3988 and 5442).
This firmware upgrade resolves the problem that we experienced about a week ago where one of the controllers randomly shut down, due to a firmware bug in the cache card.
I have called Co-Pilot, and they have verified that everything is up and running. 8 of the disks on the enclosures also need a firmware update, however, in talking to support, they said that it was merely optional; and since it would be a service disrupting update, I decided to skip that one, as it does not resolve any imminent issues that we are currently experiencing.
