This was a big upgrade, as every single UMRA application has been affected. If all went well, no users will feel any difference at all. However, if there is anything wrong that I haven't noticed yet, some calls may be generated to the helpdesk. Please let me know if any problems arise.
Also, the main reason for upgrading the server from 2003 to 2008 was because of a corruption in the Powershell service on the old server that Advanced Toolware support wasn't able to help me with.
Powershell is becoming more and more used in UMRA and other products to manage environments. This particular move is to fix a problem with the email attachments with the Student Roster Retrieval Utility (SRRU) application where the student roster would not show up as an attachment if the user uses webmail to open their email.
This bug has now been fixed, so the notice in the SchoolFusion document regarding this issue can be removed.
