Shutdown and Start up Procedures

Since this is the second time we had to deal with a full shutdown and power up of the data center, I decided to create a procedure that handles the shutdown and the start up of the server room.

Obviously, this does not cover every single item, as there is a lot involved. However, it does cover some of the "gotchas" that we dealt with upon previous shutdowns and power ups, and I will be modifying this document, and adding to it to make it a more complete reference guide for this procedure.

For those who can potentially be responsible for a data center shutdown / power up, I would recommend that you print out a copy of these procedure, and store them as a hard copy, as the wiki will be unavailable in the event of a power outage, or a voluntary shutdown.
