On 06/09/2011 (Thursday). I am planning to replace the two cache cards on the Compellent SAN controllers. This needs to be done every couple of years, in order to replace the cache card batteries which have an expiration date.
I am planning to make this swap at the end of the day, and no downtime should happen if all goes well, since we have two redundant controllers.
To stay on the safe side, it may not be a bad idea to inform Aeries users that the system will be down for maintenance at 4:30 that day.
