All VMware Hosts Patched and Power Management Implemented

Yesterday, I applied patches to all the VMware hosts at the District Office. For those of you who receive Compellent notifications, my apologies, you probably received 100+ notifications.

In addition to the patches, I have also configured and enabled Power Management on the hosts themselves. This will probably be good news for the Maintenance department more than anyone else. But both clusters (Server Cluster and Aeries View Cluster) are now configured to actually put the servers in standby (essentially turn off all their hardware), when the load is low, this will mean that evenings, and weekends will actually power down about 4 or 5 of our 10 servers. This is a reduction of power consumption by about 50% on the server side.
When the load re-increases, the servers will automatically power back on, and will vMotion the virtual machines on to them to balance the load using DRS.

This is just an FYI, and should not affected anything with the user experience.
