Update on student imports: small issue and good news

Today, it seems like all of the enrollments have been done, and I have completed the import into the UsernameStore database. However, as I was doing some cleanup on the database,  (so that we don't run out of licenses in UMRA), I noticed that one of the cleanup scripts is not deleting entries that exist in the DB and AD, but not in Aeries. Given that I consider Aeries authoritative, I haven't been acting upon non-existent entries that used to exist in the past. It's possible that this may have changed, and I'm checking on that fact before moving forward with the rest of the imports and the cleanups.

The good bit of news in this, is that I optimized the scripts that used to run on demand to populate AD accounts from the database, and they will now be running on a nightly basis. Here's the new Sync/deployments schedules:

Aeries --> UsernameStore  : 10:30pm
UsernameStore --> AD (STUDENT: Elementary) : 12:00am
UsernameStore --> AD (STUDENT2: Secondary) : 2:30am

This will finally keep all Active Directory accounts consistently in Sync (At least every 24 hours), and new accounts automatically created, so the teachers, and the helpdesk would to have answer many less calls regarding student account maintenance.

The process is currently enabled, but please give me a couple of days until I get a chance to iron out the discrepancy in the cleanup process, and to reconcile all 3 databases with the correct info.

Overall, this is all good news, and we're on the right track with imports. If we can have everything all set within one week of school start, I'd consider that a good success, especially that we're implementing the fully automated process this year, and still having to abide by the school start timeline, and all the different offices and their enrollments.

If you get any questions regarding rosters, the teachers should now be able to generate those. The student accounts may not all be fully ready just yet (soon). But at least they'll be able to create the credential cards for their students.
If you need a specific school deployed for any reason before I finish all of them, please talk to me, and I can make sure to process it before other schools.
