I’ve been getting reports, and have been seeing some issues with remote controlling workstations.I have been able to resolve this problem by rebooting the core server.
The source of the issue seems to be related to the COM+ service on the core server. However, that error is likely rooted in some other problem which is yet undetermined.
The error usually occurs when trying to establish a remote connection, and an error message such as the following, is returned:
I have a high priority case open with LANDesk and we’re working on it. Meanwhile, I will be rebooting the LANDesk server anytime the remote control service start failing, until I figure out the problem and resolve it permanently.
