Due to the lack of an enterprise backup solution, and the scattered nature of our data. I have been having a real problem keeping track of what backups are doing on the different sites and servers.
Until we have a central solution, I have MacGuyver-ed a backup report, that essentially queries all scheduled tasks on a given set of servers, and reports those to a central location.
The report is quite verbose, so it does give the last time a task has run, and the last result. in a nicely formatted table.
For anyone who is interested in looking at this report, it can be found on :
http://do-web/ittools Click the appropriate link.
(you would have to be authenticated to be able to see this page)
This report is generated every morning at 8:00am.
If you have any servers that you would like to get added in there, please let me know, and I can add those.
I'm working on creating less noisy reports for the windows 2008 servers, as by default, these spit out every scheduled in the system, and Windows 2008 has a lot of those. that's for the next version.
